Back

On March 10, 2017, the Directors of the National Communications Committee (ENACOM) published on the Official Gazette of Argentina a resolution to allocate more spectrum for Wireless Access Systems and “promote the development of new telecommunication applications arising from technical advances” as long as the devices fall within the necessary Spectrum requirements.

Some key points from this article are:

1. Frequency band 57.0 GHz and 64 GHz has been allocated to the fixed and mobile services with a primary category.

2. ENACOM authorized the use of the 57 – 64 GHz band for wireless local access broadband systems in shared mode usage.

3. Technical requirements for equipment and systems operating within 57 – 64 GHz band.

4. Equipment operating at 57 – 64 GHz bands must be registered in the corresponding records of the ENACOM following the conventional homologation process.
