SUBTEL opens public consultation on reordering the use of the radio spectrum in the 3,400 – 3,600 MHz band to maximize the efficiency in the use of the radioelectric spectrum.
The initiative seeks to complement the national spectrum policy to the current times, where the digitization and deployment of 5G networks will be key to the social and economic development of the country. Due to its technical characteristics, this band is relevant for the development of 5G networks, so it is pertinent to consult the sector regarding its possible reordering, allowing efficient use by companies, and It will also allow the dispersed spectrum to be grouped into blocks for future public tenders, benefiting the users of the different companies that have spectrum in this band.
