MTC published on August 21 st, in its web page portal, the Standard Project that would be willing to modify the National Frequency Attribution Plan, in regards to the use of 3.400 – 3.600 MHz band, also known as 3.5 GHz, and it is currently available for comments and opinions.
The purpose of this project is to maximize the use of a 3.5 GHz frequency band, by allowing the implementation of new technology infrastructure for companies, support the citizen’s need for telecommunication services, and more availability of telecom public service. This 3.5 GHz band was also identified by MTC as crucial for the improvement implementation and massification of 4G in the country.
