United Kingdom: The UK aims to  Amend Their Product Safety and Metrology etc. Regulations

Draft Regulations laid before Parliament to the Retained EU Law (Revocation and Reform) Act 2023 and could come into force by 1st October, 2024.

The policy aims to reduce costs and burdens for businesses selling goods in the GB market, while ensuring product availability for consumers. It will benefit manufacturers exporting to the EU or other regions recognizing the EU mark by avoiding the need to comply with multiple regulatory regimes. 

This supports economic growth by streamlining requirements for selling goods in the UK market and facilitating imports and exports. The legislation will maintain CE recognition for 21 product regulations under various government departments, some of them include:
